History tells the unification of USA and the domination of some countries come thought war. The roman empire , the Turkish Autumn, or the Axumite kingdom wouldn’t that much expanded with out war. After some sacrifice the winner will give an advantage for its next generations. But still the loss from the fighting generation is always larger than the gain from war. For selfish persons like me , “ene kemotku serdo ayibkel bay” war is always loss. Ethiopians have been fighting though out its history have got some victory. Yet I haven’t seen any benefit from our father’s sacrifice. Off course I don’t want to gain any thing from war.
Fighting each other, fighting against external…..shilela bicha tirfu. Eastern African war looks like a foot ball tornament, Ethiopia vs Eritrea , Eritrea vs Djibouti , Ethiopia vs Somalia ……. Just now I read the news about the new match Sudan vs Ethiopian. “Ethiopian control Sudan’s mount Hantoub , 18km in”. Is this really due to the interest of innocent peoples who are already defeated by poverty? When are we going to finish this suffering tournament ?

guys can you tell betty how you installed amharic font? its been a long time since i did it and i installed a number of fonts. so i don’t know the minimum requirement. info for our kitty here please.

- Install it
- Restart your browser
- Come back to this page and see if you can see the fonts. If you can’t see the fonts then bash me.
- If you can see the fonts, go here http://am.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E1%8A%A2%E1%89%B5%E1%8B%AE%E1%8D%92%E1%8A%AD_%E1%88%B4%E1%88%AB
- The table shows what you have to type to get the correct amharic character. For example to write ሃ you type “h” follwed by “a”, etc.
- Where do you type that? Well not in the comment box here. You need a box which has the Amharic font enabled and the amharic wikipedia is a good place to do it. So go here again (i know you have opened it already, open it again in another window) http://am.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E1%8A%A2%E1%89%B5%E1%8B%AE%E1%8D%92%E1%8A%AD_%E1%88%B4%E1%88%AB
Click on ይህን ገጽ ለማዘጋጀት and you will get a box there. Type whatever you have to type, copy it and paste it here. Of course don’t save the page on the amharic wikipedia. You can just close it when you’re done.
I’m just too lazy to find if there is a less painful way. If you behave I might do that soon.
by the way don’t let my long post put you off. installing the amharic font is a one off thing and it will be useful to have it to see other amharic websites. the other jini janka is just a way of finding an amharic enabled text box.
